Applications for the upcoming season are typically open from May to June for coaches of all streams, however, we are always willing to discuss current coaching opportunities for those in the Ottawa area!

How do I get involved as a swimmer?

Many of our recreational and assistant coaches are current NASC swimmers in the novice and competitive streams. Swimmers can apply to be an assistant coach when they are in the 13-15 age category, and move up to being a recreational coach once they enter the 16-20 (Junior) age category and have shown the necessary leadership skills and responsibility to move into this role.

Recreational assistant coaches are volunteer positions where assistants get paired with a recreational coach and team for the season and helps with giving swimmers feedback, teaching skills, and having fun with the athletes! Swimmers interested in volunteering as an assistant coach should email us and read through our assistant coach information sheet.

Nepean Artistic Swim Club 2025-2026 Coaching Applications

Please note that any applicant applying to be a paid coach must be at least 15 years old by December 31st, 2025. Any new coaches (not currently a current/past swimmer or coach at NASC) may be contacted for a short virtual or in-person interview.

If you are interested in being an assistant coach with our recreational program (volunteer position), please see our assistant coach application form or contact Erin at reccoach@nepeansynchro.com

Applications will close on Friday June 20th. If you have any questions, please reach out to headcoach@nepeansynchro.com (competitive/novice/adapted) or reccoach@nepeansynchro.com (recreational)

Let's talk with us.

Please note that as a coach with NASC, you must use your own email and not that of a parent (for recreational coaches that are still athletes). All communication will be done with coaches directly and email is expected to be monitored regularly.
